The story

Two Greek immigrant brothers, Jim and Pete, left their hometown of Valtetsi, Greece in the early 1970s and settled in the Chicago area. They purchased the existing restaurant at 95 W Northwest Highway and opened Palatine Inn in 1978.
From the beginning, the restaurant attracted local families who became loyal regulars. The brothers operated the restaurant for approximately 30 years before passing it to the second generation. Today, the restaurant is run by Pete Sarantopoulos (owner) and John Sarantopoulos, who proudly continue the family tradition established by their fathers.
