The story
The warehouse building itself was constructed in 1923 and has served various commercial and industrial tenants throughout its century of operation. Cash and Carry Paper Co. currently occupies the space, operating as an open-to-public supplier of bags, boxes, cups, plates, and janitorial supplies from its sizable showroom. The building sits in what remains of Indianapolis's old industrial-commercial zone on the eastern edge of downtown, adjacent to historic Lockerbie Square.
