The story
Henry Batterman's three-story brick block held Charles H. Patten's Palatine Bank and stores at street level, offices above, and a top-floor hall with stage and dressing rooms for dances, plays and the Palatine Maennerchor. It stood about fifty years and was torn down in the 1930s.
