The story
Opened June 6, 1980 with 7,202 pavilion seats and 18,000 lawn spots, it hosted Manilow, the Beach Boys, Journey, Dylan, Aerosmith, AC/DC, the Moody Blues and Elton John. Sears bought the land in 1989; competition from Tinley Park's World Music Theater after 1990 drained attendance, and the final show was November 3, 1994. Demolished July 1995.
