The story
Dario's, a sandwich and salad spot, opened in May 2013 in the former Uptown Cafe space at the corner of Wilson and Brockway. The building it occupies began as Morgan Johnson's 1855 store, became the Kuebler and then Hunnerberg Hotel, and wears a Palatine Historical Society plaque reading "Dario's was Hunnerberg Hotel."
