The story
The Hub says its legacy goes back to 1949, which is why it threw a 75th anniversary party in 2024. The bar opened in its current Franklin Street home in 2002, so the 1949 date belongs to the business rather than this building. The source does not say where it stood before.
The 75th anniversary celebration started by accident, when a storm moved the monthly Rock the Park concert indoors. The bar then scheduled free concerts from August 16 to September 1, 2024. It also runs an Instagram account, Overheard at The Hub, that collects local conversations. Beyond that, the written record I could open is thin, so its earlier years remain a gap worth filling with a local source.
What's There Now
