The story
Tampa's city hall was built in 1915 by McGucken & Hyer to designs by the firm Bonfoey & Elliott. The site is less than an acre, and from 1915 to 1925 the building was the tallest in Tampa, at 49 meters, until the Citizens Bank Building passed it. It combines Renaissance, Beaux Arts and commercial styles.
The National Register of Historic Places listed it on October 1, 1974, and the Historic American Buildings Survey documented it in 1981. A $16 million renovation was carried out in 2017. The page does not say how the building is used today.
