The story

The diner on Edgewater Drive in College Park operated since the early 1950s and was described as Orlando's oldest. It was originally the College Park Cafe. Joey Eckenfels and Alan Saunders bought it in the early 2000s, and during a difficult year renamed it College Park Diner.

A fire shut it down in December 2024, and it reopened in January 2025. Shortly before closing it hosted its first drag brunch, an effort to draw customers back. In June 2025 a handwritten sign on the door read "Out of Business! Toodles :)" beside a state closure notice citing health and safety concerns. The owners said they were proud of the space they built and grateful to the community that supported them.

The diner closed in June 2025; what replaced it was not confirmed.
