The Story
Created in 2001 as a Route 66 attraction, this 40-foot-long covered wagon features a 12-foot tall Abraham Lincoln sitting inside, reading a law book. The attraction celebrates Lincoln, Illinois - the only town named for Abraham Lincoln with his knowledge and consent.
Lincoln christened the town in 1853 with watermelon juice. The wagon combines Route 66's love of 'world's largest' attractions with the area's Lincoln heritage.
