The story
The original Slice of Chicago was a notable late-night destination with live blues, rock, and world beat music, operating until 4 a.m. The property was razed in 2006, and Joe Barrutia built the current strip center on the same site, reopening both businesses in 2009 with the new Slice operating as carryout-only while Agio serves as the upscale sit-down restaurant.
