The story

Linda's La Cantina, at 4721 East Colonial Drive, dates to 1947 and calls itself the oldest family-owned steakhouse in Orlando. It was earlier known as Al and Linda's La Cantina. Linda Seng ran it with her family and declined to discuss the details of the name and ownership change.

The original building burned down three days after Christmas 1994 and reopened by the following summer. A June 1999 Orlando Weekly review described a bilevel dining room and a bar built around a water-fire fountain, a pool of water with a flame rising from its center. The reviewer listed surf and turf at $28.95 and a T-bone at $23.45, and found the spaghetti lackluster.

The restaurant was operating there per a 1999 review; current status was not confirmed.
