The story

The Colonial Drive-In opened on May 9, 1955, on East Colonial Drive. It ran for 37 years, and the last movie was screened on October 3, 1992. Orlando Memory's list of closed drive-ins shows it as one of the later survivors, after the Orlando Drive-In and the Pine Hills Drive-In had gone.

Cinema Treasures tags the site as demolished and says the property was sold in May 1994 to Florida Technical Systems of School and Colleges Inc. for $843,600. The page says the site is now the Barry University of Law.

Barry University law school, per Cinema Treasures.
